| "Perhaps what God wants isn't blind acceptance but a lifetime of searching and discarding what is obviously false and testing the rest." Maybe to always question what is around us is the true test of our faith. To keeping changing, keeping pushing forward and use the full capacity of given to us as humans to progress. To love God despite all of what is happening around us and to know it is not God who has done wrong. Those who serve in God's name sully his beauty and image day after day, just as we think those who don't serve God do. Those who serve God are no better than those who don't. If we view those of other religions as monsters, we must remember that we are monsters of another kind. Regardless, we should never stop questioning what is around us even if it means questions ourselves, our beliefs, and the founations of our faith. God gave us this gift to pick and choose with intelligence. Let it not go to waste. Blind faith is not faith at all. It is a slap in the face to God and an insult to his plan for all humans. | | |
